My Approach
Women deserve specialized care during critical times in their life.
As a therapist specializing in women's health and maternal mental health—and as a mother and birth trauma survivor myself—I understand on a deeply personal and professional level how challenging these seasons of life can be. My specialized training in perinatal and postpartum mental health, combined with my own lived experience, allows me to support women with compassion, credibility, and clarity during some of the most vulnerable and transformative moments of their lives. Motherhood can be overwhelming, and tending to your own well-being while meeting the demands of daily life is not easy. That’s why it’s so important to find a therapist who truly fits—someone who understands you and can support you through this season of your life.
From the first session, I strive to create a comfortable atmosphere where open and honest communication can take place. If you’re feeling constantly worried or overwhelmed, struggling to adjust to motherhood and its new demands, noticing intrusive thoughts, or coping with a traumatic pregnancy or birth experience, you have taken an important step forward by seeking professional assistance. Your decision to pursue therapy reflects your commitment to personal growth and well-being.
While we work together, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan based on your history, goals, and diagnosis.
I utilize a combination of evidence-based practices, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), psychodynamic theory, strengths-based approaches, and holistic and mindfulness approaches.
